GOSHEN, Ind. (WNDU) - A 23-year-old Elkhart man has been sentenced to 28 years in prison for a robbery at an Elkhart KFC that left a man paralyzed.

According to our reporting partners at The Goshen News , Tyris Jennings, along with his partner in crime Jordan Cole, were teens when they shot a 45-year-old employee while robbing the KFC on S. Main Street in March 2019.

The shooting left the KFC employee paralyzed.

The Goshen News reports Cole, now 24, was sentenced in April 2024 to 28 years for the robbery charge after pleading guilty.
