California Gov. Gavin Newsom called President Donald Trump a “hypocrite” after a Forbes investigation revealed the Trump Organization requested a record number of foreign worker visas this year.

Using data collected from the Labor Department, Forbes found that the Trump Organization requested H-2A and H-2B visas for at least 184 foreign workers in 2025. That was the highest amount of requests ever submitted by the company.

The visas were for temporary low-wage positions at the Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, Trump Winery in Virginia and two golf clubs.

After Forbes released its report Thursday, Newsom’s press office criticized the apparent hypocrisy of the “ America First ” president’s family conglomerate.
