Film tax credit supporters seek to flip Northern Nevada lawmakers

Most Northern Nevada legislators oppose a bill to expand film tax subsidies by more than $1 billion.

Supporters include some of the state’s most powerful politicians, including Republican Gov. Joe Lombardo and Democratic Senate Majority Leader Nicole Cannizzaro.

During the Legislature’s special session, union workers fill the halls in Carson City with high-visibility orange shirts saying “Sony Pictures Las Vegas: Nevada Jobs Now!”
