COOS COUNTY, Ore. - A fatal multivehicle crash claimed the life of a Roseburg man and seriously injured his passenger on Thursday morning on Highway 42 in Coos County, according to the Oregon State Police.
OSP officials said they responded just before 10:58 a.m. on Nov. 13 to a three-vehicle crash on Highway 42 near milepost 24. A Chevrolet Malibu, driven by 69-year-old John William Henderson of Roseburg, veered into the opposite lane and collided nearly head-on with a Freightliner commercial vehicle, police said. Authorities said that Henderson was declared deceased after being transported to a local hospital.
