Former speed skating Olympic gold medallist said she is proud of her work with organization
Sport Calgary announced Friday that its president and CEO and former Olympian, Catriona Le May Doan, has left the organization after nine years.
The organization’s board of directors are sending her off with “deep gratitude … for her leadership, vision, and impact.”

“On behalf of the board and our entire sport community, I want to thank her for advancing access, performance and partnership in sport across Calgary,” said Jeff Booke, chair of Sport Calgary’s board of directors.
“We look forward to building on the foundation that Catriona has established,” Booke said. “Sport Calgary’s next phase will carry forward her emphasis on impact, innovation and inclusion.”
