A family-run restaurant in the heart of Marske village is celebrating after scooping two prestigious awards. Since opening in June 2022, Gilbey’s on the High Street has quickly become a favourite among locals and visitors alike..

The bistro, owned and run by mum-of-three Victoria Gilbey-Jackson, offers a true taste of the Mediterranean, inspired by her time living in Cyprus and Italy. She works with her parents, Angela, who is the head chef, and Richard, who is the fire chef and uses a traditional clay oven to cook the majority of the fresh evening meals.
