ROCHESTER, Minn.- Denise Robertson, navigator program director for Health Access MN, says there has been a lot of confusion about what the potential impact some soon to expire Affordable Care Act enhanced subsidies might mean for the state.

She says currently with rising healthcare premiums 90,000 customers of MNSure, the state's private ACA insurance marketplace, are set to deal with rising premiums going into 2026 due to rising healthcare costs that are more than some existing tax credits can cover.

Of those affected 20,000 could lose access to the enhanced credits that would put a cap on those premiums based on income for households making above 400 percent of the federal poverty line, which is around $62,600 a year for a household of one.
