A well-known New Orleans East Charter School is closing its doors at the end of this school year.

Alumni and parents with kids enrolled at the school are shocked by plans to close the campus
Rhondra Hunter is a parent of a Sarah T. Reed student and alum. She said, "That school means a lot to the community. I actually grew up in the neighborhood. That school is a family. It's really going to be hurtful to those kids."
