You hear the low rumble of the engines before you see them. Heavily tattooed men wearing Bandidos colours sit upon impeccably polished motorcycles lined up and ready for a show-of-force ride.
A few cyclists pedal by, as police officers redirect traffic along Dairy Road in Fyshwick.
The weekend meet-up for the notorious outlaw motorcycle gang had begun as members from across the country rolled into Canberra on Saturday, November 15.
Police had set up a checkpoint nearby to breath and drug test bikies, as well as survey the condition of the motorbikes. A paddy wagon was on hand to take any lawbreakers away.
