HARTFORD, Conn. — A local nonprofit dedicated to helping families and children received thousands of pounds in food donations Friday.
This will provide critical support to households currently struggling with food insecurity due to recent delays in SNAP benefits.
The Village for Families and Children’s food pantry in Hartford received nearly 3,000 pounds of food collected by several community organizations, including Sewa Diwali, Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh, Hoysala Kannada Koota and the Hindu Yuva chapter at UConn.
