PLAINVILLE, Conn — The legacy of The Manchester Road Race is hard to ignore, as it brings in elite athletes from across the country, even the world .

For some, the start of the Manchester Road Race does not start in Manchester. Rather, it starts when the runner picks up their shoes and takes the first steps in their training.
