BATTLE CREEK - Harper Creek's Kennedy Halverson dreamed of this day her entire life. And, then, when her signing day finally came, she was a little nervous that it had arrived.

The Beavers' Halverson committed to play softball at Western Michigan University during a signing ceremony at Harper Creek High School on Thursday, Nov. 13.

In front of a group of teammates, coaches, friends and family, Halverson put her signature on paper for a full-ride scholarship to become a Bronco.

"Really exciting. Big achievement. Always wanted to play in college," Halverson said. "I was a little nervous about today, but really excited about my future."
