SOUTHINGTON — A Beaver Falls woman was killed Thursday evening in a crash at the intersection of U.S. Route 422 and sate Route 305 in the township, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Hollie Markun, 50, was driving a Honda Accord northwest on Route 422 as a Jeep Cherokee, driven by Michael Kirsch, 30, of Youngstown, was heading southeast on the same road.

An OSHP news release states Markun attempted to turn left onto Route 305 when she was struck by Kirsch’s vehicle.

Markun died of her injuries, while Kirsch and his passenger, Janine McKinstry, 58, of Warren, were transported to St. Joseph Warren Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the release states.
