Patrons sip on local wines at Sip and Savor festival.

SALISBURY — On one of the last warm fall days, the city of Salisbury lounged on the Bell Tower Green for the first Sip and Savor festival. With local food, beverage and trinket vendors spread across the green, attendants enjoyed live music from music duos.

Sunny Day Markets hosted this first Salisbury Sip and Savor festival as part of their market series. They host local markets across the state, with roughly two a week for most of the fall. They started by doing smaller popups at New Sarum Brewery before growing to the market company.

The market included beer from New Sarum Brewery and wine tastings from Uwharrie Vineyard and Winery and PRP Wine International. There was food from Sandwich Express, Mexa Way, Thai & Sam Street Eats, V
