After goalie TJ Conrad went down with a concussion almost a month and a half ago, Waldwick needed reinforcements to take over the position and execute.
Jeffry Candelario, a junior field player who’s role was to bring energy off the bench, was tasked to command the net in the biggest game of his life, and didn’t disappoint.
Waldwick (14-10-1), the second-seed in the North 1, Group 1 playoffs, knocked off top-seeded Emerson Boro, 1-0 in a shootout period, and reclaimed the title after a rematch from a season ago.
