Tony Baldwin-Harris made the biggest play of Passaic Tech’s season before it even happened.
The junior cornerback read his pre-snap keys. He saw the receiver going in motion coming at him and knew to watch for the switch route.
Badlwin-Harris might as well have been the intended receiver on the play as he was right where the throw was made just four yards in front of the end zone. He returned his interception 96 yards down the sideline for a pick-six for the final play of the first half for Passaic Tech in its North 1, Group 5 final matchup with West Orange.
“My coaches just told me to watch the switch route,” Baldwin-Harris said. “I was just staying patient. The ball came to me and I took it to the crib. It gave us an energy boost going into the second half.”
