CHANDIGARH: Information has emerged about the missing woman from the pilgrim group that went to the neighbouring country to celebrate Guru Nanak Dev's Prakash Parv. It is reported that the Indian Sikh woman converted to Islam and married a Pakistani man.
Sarabjeet Kaur, 52, a native of Kapurthala in Punjab, and other Sikh pilgrims crossed the Wagah-Attari border into Pakistan on November 4. They crossed the border under a bilateral agreement that allows them to visit religious places of worship. The group of Sikh pilgrims returned to India after spending about ten days in Pakistan. However, Sarabjeet Kaur was not among them.
A picture of a marriage contract has now emerged showing Sarabjeet Kaur marrying Nasir Hussain, a resident of Sheikhupura, 56 km from Lahore. The contract is in Urdu
