Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) patriarch Lalu Prasad Yadav’s daughter, Rohini Acharya, on Saturday announced that she is quitting politics and disowning her family, a day after the party suffered a major setback, securing only 25 seats in the 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections.

Taking all the blame, Rohini hit out at Sanjay Yadav, who is a close confidant of Tejashwi Yadav, for her decision and alleged that it was Sanjay Yadav and Rameez who “asked" her to do so.

“I’m quitting politics and I’m disowning my family… This is what Sanjay Yadav and Rameez had asked me to do …nd I’m taking all the blame," she said in a post on X.
