ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WIS) - Authorities are investigating after shots were fired inside an Orangeburg grocery store on Friday.
The Orangeburg Department of Public Safety said it received reports of gunfire at the Food Lion on Chestnut Street at around 12:20 p.m.
The agency also said the suspected shooter remains at large
ODPS Capt. Victor Cordon told WIS that the shooting was the result of “some type of altercation.” He also said that the victim was reportedly shot at when they were walking away.
A WIS crew at the store after the incident spotted a note on the door that said the store was closed until further notice.
