CHARLETON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in finding the person responsible for a shooting that happened 15 years ago.
The Sheriff’s Office says on Nov. 15, 2010, someone shot Rasha Porter, 27, at a home in Ravenel. Investigators say that person entered the home at about 12:30 a.m.
After Porter told a fellow resident to get a gun under the bed for self-defense, authorities say the intruder shot him once. Porter was taken to MUSC, where he died.
Detectives say they have interviewed several people but have not yet made any arrests. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Detective Barry Goldstein at 843-554-2241 or send tips to tips@charlestoncounty.org.
