A Motherwell mum has made an emotional plea for the gift of life this Christmas as she searches for an organ donor.
Laura Hayman was diagnosed with kidney failure in 2017 after feeling unwell for weeks. The 29-year-old immediately started dialysis to remove toxins from her body.
She also received a transplant from her dad, Paul, later that same year. However, after falling pregnant with her little boy Hugo three years later, her transplanted organ began to fail.
By 2023, the mum-of-one was back on dialysis five times a week and has been hooked up to a machine to keep her alive for five days a week ever since. Without it, she will die within days, reports the Record.
