NOVI, MI - You know her from “Road Trip,” “Rat Race,” “Just Friends,” “Varsity Blues,” and “Starship Troopers.” We caught up with actress Amy Smart and talked to her about her move to Michigan.

Smart married HGTV’s Carter Oosterhouse , a Traverse City native. She moved to Traverse City about 10 years ago.

Smart is one of the more than three dozen celebrity guests at Motor City Comic Con taking place through Sunday, November 16 at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi.

“I’m a newer Michigander, but I love being here. And I was able to drive here for this con, which is extra cool,” Smart told MLive, which you can see in our video interview above.

She added that she loves living in Traverse City as she is surrounded by nature and a great food and wine scene.
