Massachusetts residents are bracing for a weekend of dramatic weather changes, as a calm and cool Saturday will quickly be replaced by a fast-moving storm overnight, bringing a soaking rain followed by a blustery, bone-chilling Sunday.

Saturday is expected to have dry weather and lighter winds across the Commonwealth, according to the National Weather Service . The morning will be marked with welcoming sunshine, though clouds will steadily increase through the afternoon as rain approaches.

Boston will see a high near 46 degrees and even the higher elevations of Worcester are expected to reach the mid-40s.

Along the coast, the Cape and Islands are expected to have a high near 45 degrees, while Western Massachusetts, including Springfield, will top out near 46 degrees.
