MURPHYSBORO, Ill. (WSIL) -- The Humane Society of Southern Illinois says they are continuing to support local pets and their owners despite closing its Murphysboro facility a year ago. The organization has shifted its focus to helping pets remain in their homes.
In the past year, the society said they have sold more than 343 spay/neuter vouchers and distributed more than 1,200 bags of pet food, along with providing 264 flea and tick preventatives.
