BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - A tale of two stories is expected this weekend with beautiful and sunny conditions on Saturday before messy and wet conditions develop for Sunday, with snow, mix, and rain implications across Maine.

This Saturday morning, skies are mostly sunny with a few lingering clouds. Lots of sunshine will continue throughout the day. High temps will vary from the low 30s to low 40s. WNW gusts will reach 20-25 mph.

We have gone ahead and issued a First Alert for Inland and Northern locations on Sunday because of the impending wintry system. The NWS has issued Winter Weather Advisories for Western Maine from 7pm Saturday until 7am Sunday. Winter Weather Advisories have also been issued for Northern Maine, from 1am Sunday until 1pm on Monday.
