The Lakehead Thunderwolves are starting to hang around in their last two matches in the OUA women’s volleyball league. However, winning results are still eluding the young team.

Camryn Giddens and Audrey Odigie each led the way with 15 kills for the Ottawa Gee-Gees as they defeated Lakehead, 25-20, 25-22, 22-25, 25-21, at C.J. Sanders Fieldhouse on Friday evening.

Lakehead drops to 0-5. The Thunderwolves are one of two teams in the 15-school conference still looking for their first win. Earlier Friday, the RMC Paladins fell to 0-7 after losing to Guelph.

After being swept over their first three matches, the Thunderwolves have taken one set off their last two opponents.

Ottawa and Lakehead will face off again today starting at 6 p.m.
