A 2-year-old boy died after falling from a 20th-floor apartment window in Newark early Saturday, Nov. 15, officials said.
Newark police were called to 455 Elizabeth Ave., around 7 a.m. for a report that a child had fallen from a window, Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens II and Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda said. The boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
The prosecutor’s office said the investigation is active and ongoing. No additional information is being released at this time.
