CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) have lifted some lane restrictions on the Brent Spence Bridge this weekend, making progress on pavement repairs on the Ohio approach.
Access from southbound I-71 to I-75 South and the bridge has reopened, now allowing two lanes of travel on the upper deck approach. Additionally, the double-lane closure on the lower deck of the bridge (northbound I-75) has been lifted.
However, some restrictions remain. Single-lane closures are still in effect on I-75 North and South between the 8th Street Viaduct and the Western Hills Viaduct for median barrier wall repair.
These remaining restrictions are scheduled to continue through early Monday or until all work is completed.
