Two women were shot to death and another one was wounded during a shooting early Saturday morning in South Gate, and the suspect has also been killed, authorities said.

The attack occurred at about 2:30 a.m. Nov. 15 in the 8400 block of San Luis Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Sheriff’s personnel responded to the scene to assist the South Gate Police Department “regarding an officer-involved shooting,” according to the LASD.

Two victims were pronounced dead at the scene and an additional victim was taken to a hospital. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.
