STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. — A Stone Mountain man is under arrest for shooting his cousin, according to the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office.

The incident happened on the night of Nov. 3 after officers from DeKalb County responded to reports of someone shot at the 900 block of N. Hariston Road.

Officers say they found 25-year-old Decatur resident Geremy Sims in a parking lot suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

On Nov. 14, the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Unit and the U.S. Marshals Southeast Fugitive Task Force arrested 38-year-old Raphael Sims for the shooting of Geremy Sims, who deputies say is his cousin.
