ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A woman is in critical condition after being shot in the head in the parking lot of a Loganville CVS, according to city officials.

The woman has not been identified.

City officials said a person is in custody but has not been charged. The person was taken into custody in Lawrenceville after the Loganville Police Department issued a be on the lookout, according to the Lawrenceville Police Department. They were taken into custody on West Crogan Street.

Officials have not said what led up to the shooting.

Around 2:30 p.m., city officials said people should avoid the area and that traffic will likely be disrupted “due to required emergency services.”

The CVS is located off Highway 78 (Loganville Highway) and Conyers Road.
