A reader suggested last week that The Canberra Times was indulging in a bit of "confected outrage" over the Big Splash saga. I'm not sure if he or she was referring to me, but I can assure them my rage is real and it is incandescent.

Look, I know there's a lot bigger fish to fry and I'm not even sure why I'm so angry. But I am.

What really, really irks me is the BS we've had to swallow for more than a year from the owner of Big Splash, the Translink Management Group, headed by Songnan (Morris) Huang. That really sticks in my craw.

We're facing another summer of the park closed, another request from the owner to give him time to create a "modern, new facility" that suggests taking away more than it gives.
