OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A judge set bond at $150,000 on Friday for a man charged in a domestic violence incident this week.
The crime caught the attention of the Omaha Police Officers Association, which shared details in a post on Facebook today.
Standoff follows 911 call from alleged victim
Late Wednesday night, police were called to his home near 165th and West Maple after a woman called 911 to say a man forced her into hiding and blocked her escape.
She advised that there were guns in the house.
This led to a standoff with John Larandeau, 54.
$20,000 in property damage reported
He was eventually arrested but only after he also heavily damaged property in the home, causing an estimated $20,000 in damage to television sets, artwork, furniture and other items, according to police.
