WEATHER STORY: My 38th Christmas City of the North Parade is coming up next week. In the beginning, I was outside floor director for Barbara Reyelts. For the last 20 years or so, I’ve been part of the U.S. Coast Guard contingent that includes young active duty personnel and older auxiliary volunteers like me. We’ve marched in blizzards, rain storms, warm spells and normal conditions. I think this year will be normal for temps and dry. Maybe too dry. This weekend, high winds and low humidities will kick up and create near critical wildfire threats. Only one slight precip chance this week will try to alleviate that. Normals this week: lows 19-24, highs 32-37.
WEEKEND FORECAST AT A GLANCE: Minnesota - Sunny and dry with highs near 40 and wind NW 10-30 mph. Wisconsin - Sunny and dry
