STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (WPTA) - The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an alleged incident involving suspected THC edibles that happened at Angola High School.
According to the office, the school’s resource deputy was made aware of an incident on November 14.
A preliminary investigation indicates that two students unknowingly consumed THC candy left out in a classroom during their last class period on November 13.
It was determined that the candy was brought into the classroom by the teacher identified as 49-year-old Debra L. McGillem of Reading, MI.
The office says as the investigation continued additional food items suspected of containing THC were allegedly located in McGillem’s possession.
