SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. —

Update

The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office has released new details after a shooting. They say they responded to Stone Station Road and upon arrival, deputies located 57-year-old Frederick Durham suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso.

Durham was transported to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, where he is currently listed in stable condition.

Deputies say through the course of their investigation, deputies identified the shooter as 19-year-old Tierre “TJ” McDowell. McDowell, who resides at the location with the victim and is Mr. Durham’s grandson. During a series of search warrants, investigators recovered firearms at the residence that were linked to McDowell.

Assault and battery, high and aggravated
