Srinagar, Nov 15: Jammu and Kashmir government on Saturday announced ex-gratia relief from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for the victims of Nowgam Police Station explosion.

On the instructions of the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena Itoo, as per the news agency, said that Rs 10 lakh will be provided to the families of each deceased person and Rs 1 lakh to every injured individual.

Speaking to reporters after visiting the injured at Ujala Hospital, she said the tragic incident claimed nine lives last night, while around 30 others sustained injuries.

“Some injured were admitted at SMHS and have been discharged, while around 20 are still under treatment at Ujala Hospital. Thank God their condition is improving
