A Glasgow man says he has been given a 'second chance at life' after he was talked down off the edge of a bridge over the M8 by heroic strangers.

22-year-old musician Robert Hampson was about to take his own life when good-hearted strangers intervened, talking him out of jumping from a footbridge over the motorway.

Robert grew up in care and suffered a traumatic childhood of abuse, and he felt he had nowhere to turn until they heard what he had to say.

He told Glasgow Live: "I just felt so low, to the point where I was just like 'I can't do this anymore'.

"And that's when I went over the railing at the bridge.
