A busy Glasgow street is closed due to a fire reported inside a premises this afternoon, with drivers urged to avoid the area.

West Nile Street has been cordoned off from Renfield Street to Bath Street, due to the incident, which was reported at a premises at around 4.35pm on Saturday.

Multiple fire engines and police vehicles were spotted at the scene as firefighters tackled the blaze.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "West Nile Street in Glasgow is closed from Renfield Street to Bath Street after a fire was reported at a premises in West Nile Street around 4.35pm on Saturday, 15 November, 2025.

"Motorists are advised to avoid the area."
