RUPERT, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — After months of dedicated work, a new mural gracing the Minidoka County Historical Society Museum has been officially unveiled.

The striking black-and-white mural, featuring “Minidoka” in vibrant full color, serves as a powerful symbol of Minidoka County’s rich history.

The design was a collaborative effort between the museum board and Pocatello native artist Nicole Hopkins. The entire creation process spanned approximately 550 hours over three months of diligent work.

“Well I’ve had a number of people drive by and tell me, ‘What’s going on at the museum?’ Then, some people say, ‘Well, who is the artist?’ That’s really pretty, eye catching for sure,” Museum President Rick Parker said. “It’s been a great addition to the community.”
