Jannik Sinner has reached a third consecutive showdown match at the ATP Finals. The Italian, playing in front of his adoring crowd in Turin, blasted past Alex de Minaur in straight sets to get to the final.
Now, he is on the cusp of having another big-time clash with Carlos Alcaraz . This will be potentially their first matchup since the US Open final, where Alcaraz triumphed in four sets. Looking for revenge, Sinner believes that it is a good thing to see where his level is at in the closing stages of the season. Sinner said in his post-match press conference:
Well, honestly every matchup is different. We saw it in Rome and Paris. Even if it’s the same surface, it can change. I’m of course happy first of all to finish my season here, another final, has been an amazing year for me.
