According to a news release by the Ontario Provincial Police, officers responded to a report of a collision involving two small planes in the area just north of Cornwall at around 11 a.m. on Saturday. Article content Article content
One plane landed safely, the release said, while the other crashed in a wooded area. The pilot of that aircraft was declared deceased at the scene.
The OPP said that the Transportation Safety Board of Canada had been notified about the fatal crash and that TSB officials would be taking charge of the investigation.
