With Penn State and Michigan State both searching for their first Big Ten win of the season on Saturday, the Spartans are turning to a young quarterback to try and get it done.
Redshirt freshman Alessio Milivojevic will make his second straight start for the Spartans in place of incumbent Aiden Chiles, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel . In fact, Chiles was ruled out for the 3:30 p.m. kickoff on Saturday.
Milivojevic replaced Chiles in Michigan State’s last game against Minnesota and shined. He went 20-of-28 for 311 yards and a touchdown, keeping his team in the fight in a 23-20 loss.
Milivojevic appeared in five other games this season, totaling 281 yards and three touchdowns. The 6-2, 218-pounder was a three-star prospect out of Illinois in the 2024 class.
