UPDATE: The Vanderbilt LifeFlight team is mourning the loss of nurse paramedic Allan Williams to a deadly helicopter crash last weekend.
They say he was a relentlessly dedicated health care provider, whose life mission was to serve Tennessee and save lives.
"We remember Allan Williams as a devoted father, loving husband and highly skilled flight crew member," the emergency rescue service posted on social media. "His impact, both personally and professionally, was profound."
Williams, MSN-Ed, RN, CFRN, EMT-P, was 55-years-old. He had recently celebrated 15 years with Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
