EAST GRANBY, Conn. (WFSB) - The troubles continue for brewers in Connecticut.

Almost Famous Brewing in East Granby announced on Friday that they will be closing their doors.

They’ll be added to a long list of breweries that have shut down this year.

Since 2019, Almost Famous Brewing has welcomed customers with food trucks, live entertainment, and a variety of beers.

The owners posted on Facebook saying they will continue exploring different options for the brewery, but can’t guarantee where they will go.

Industry experts said increasing costs are one reason for the decline in the business, especially with tariffs on malt and stainless steel.

Social trends are also playing a role in the decrease of brewing.

More people are turning to canned cocktails or THC drink options.
