The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday arrested a man accused of fatally stabbing a woman at a Dollar General in Fruitland.
Deputies found Lemar Beasley in a camper on Huntington Shortcut Road after a 24-hour manhunt involving multiple agencies.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to a 911 call around 4 p.m. on Friday and found an unresponsive woman suffering from apparent stab wounds.
The woman was taken to a local hospital, where she later died, deputies said.
The sheriff’s office said at the moment, there is no known motive for the attack, and an update will be provided on Monday.
