EAST LANSING, Mich. — Penn State traveled to Spartan Stadium to face a team similar to itself in Michigan State. Both sides were 3-6 in 2025 and had yet to win a game in Big Ten play.
So, with a conference win on the line and a chance to take the Land Grant Trophy for the first time in two years, it was a slugfest in East Lansing.
With hardware at stake, it was the Nittany Lions who emerged victorious and snapped their six-game losing streak with a 28-10 win, their first since Sept. 13 against Villanova.
It was Michigan State that struck first, and it didn’t take the Spartans very long. On the first play of their first offensive possession following a defensive stop, running back Elijah Tau-Tolliver found a seam and nothing but green grass ahead of him for a 75-yard rushing score.
