KATY, Texas – An armored car driver was robbed when thieves approached his vehicle Saturday morning and took his cash, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

The robbery took place at the H Mart located at 23119 Colonial Parkway in Katy around 8 a.m.

According to deputies, the driver of the armored truck had just left the store when the thieves approached him, taking the money. Deputies said the thieves may have been armed with AR-style rifles.

The thieves fled the scene, and the driver was not injured.

Deputies are now looking for the suspects.
