WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ga. — A shed caught fire Saturday evening in Washington County.
The fire is on Bethea Lane, which is off of Highway 242, according to a social media post from the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
They are asking drivers to avoid the area if possible.
The fire is still being put out, as of 7 p.m., according to the Sandersville Fire Department.
Sheriff Joel Cochran said that they received a call about the fire at 5:13 p.m., for a storage shed that caught on fire behind a house.
Both deputies and firefighters are on the scene, according to the sheriff's office.
It is unknown if there are any injuries or what the cause of the fire was.
