Star Missouri football linebacker Josiah Trotter was ejected from the Tigers ’ game against Mississippi State on Saturday, Nov. 15, in Columbia after a second-quarter targeting call.
Johnson was called for a personal foul after making helmet-to-helmet contact with Mississippi State quarterback Blake Shapen in the pocket. The officials called a personal foul with targeting, and after a short review the call was upheld.
Trotter, who has been one of the standout players on the Missouri defense this season, will miss the remainder of the game. He was the second Mizzou player to be ejected for targeting in the first half, after defensive end Nate Johnson was ejected for a similar play in the first quarter.
